This unusual and fascinating set of furniture comes from Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance, a designer that is known for reinterpreting and giving new meanings to History and its influences. These items are a part of a furniture collection called “Manta” and they were designed for Italian company  . The sideboard, the armchair and the desk represent the designer’s unique approach of reinventing Art Nouveau.  Only twenty similar pieces were made, so this is a limited edition. The overall feeling is that of sinuosity and impenetrability and this was made possible by using carbon fiber to build the pieces.  Here are some of Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance’s words from a concerning his creations : “I go to a place and let it talk to me, to understand the ambiance and what I want to express, I don’t get caught up in history because it often bogs you down.”- via
