Reflecting a tranquil lifestyle, this curvaceous mansion in Melbourne, called The Hill House is the work of . The architects envisioned a living space that perfectly reflects the salty and breezy seaside environment. The clients wanted something stylish and comfortable, a house with panoramic views, suggesting that the beach is only a few steps away. Located on the rise of the hill, the house offers some of the best views over the wonderful surroundings. The Hill House is divided in two different blocks: one in simple and linear lines and the other one, playful and curvaceous, offering a distinct personality.
The interior is elegant, neat and uncluttered. It creates a seamless transition between the environments, enhancing the feeling of freedom. “Conceptually the interiors are conceived as spaces that allow the main occupant to engage with the surrounds, embracing a relaxed lifestyle and calm environment. The flexibility of the internal spaces also allows her to host an influx of guests and increase the energy and pace of life.” In order to reflect the infinite calmness surrounding this home, the walls were painted white. Shades of warm colours (such as yellow and red) were added though, just to avoid the idea of a sterile home.
