This modern farmhouse on Vancouver’s Ripple Road was imagined by as having an open layout, where functionality and elegance meet to shape social spaces. With this project, the team created their first farmhouse-inspired home with a masculine vibe present through the held-back colors used throughout. This beautiful West Vancouver residence balances respect for old traditions and possibilities of modern comfort. A relaxed atmosphere spreads over the open spaces: living room, dining room, open kitchen, they all shape a vibrant homey feel.
The kitchen showcases white oak cabinet doors with recessed steel hardware under natural light, hiding both the fridge and the pantry. This allows the centerpiece- a 5 feet wide and 11 feet long kitchen island dressed in dark- stained oak – to compose a melodramatic contrast with the rest of the space. Spreading over 800 square feet, the master bathroom on the upper floor is strictly tied to the modern farmhouse concept, gathering both elegance and interpretation of raw farm elements. A chandelier hanging over the free-standing bathtub contrasts the barn door in a fun, subtle way. Linked to the master bedroom, this light-filled space resembles European spas and prepares the owners for a resting sleep. This home is dipped in comfort and served fresh – a delicious combination!
